Kent Displays, Inc. is a global leader of liquid crystal display technology and an expert in research, development, roll-to-roll manufacturing, and consumer packaged goods design and assembly. The company was founded in 1993 by Dr. J. William Doane of the Liquid Crystal Institute at Kent State University and William Manning of the Rochester, New York based investment company, Manning and Napier®. Kent Displays commercializes LCD technology with products under the brand name Boogie Board® in a multitude of global retail markets. Boogie Board® reusable writing tablets were launched in 2010 and have continued to see long-term market success in consumer retail both in store and online. Current growth sees Boogie Board® expanding into education, healthcare, call center, and more business-to-business sectors. Over the course of many years, Kent Displays has developed expertise in the supply chain logistics and management, roll-to-roll manufacturing, material procurement, and research and development processes. Kent Displays runs three complete roll-to-roll manufacturing lines dedicated to flexible display technology mass production.
