Summary:
The Fraud Analyst performs a variety of assignments that are routine to moderately complex and require knowledge and understanding of financial processes. These include, but are not limited to, research and risk analysis of account and transactional deposit data in order to minimize risk and protect the bank’s deposit portfolio. Performs a variety of assignments that are moderately complex and require detailed knowledge and understanding of banking/financial processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Under minimal supervision, researches and performs risk analysis of account and transactional deposit data.
- Has knowledge of bank policy and procedures and complies with legal requirements in accordance with applicable regulations, including Reg.CC.
- Cross trained to perform various functions within Fraud Prevention.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices and functions within bank operations and risk mitigation.
- Exchanges information and resolves problems where multiple non-standard solutions are available.
- Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
- Act quickly to discern between fraudulent and valid activity, while thoughtfully evaluating potential customer impact and acting appropriately to preserve customer experience and prevent potentially catastrophic losses.
- Support Huntington’s commitment to continuous improvement by identifying and proposing process improvement ideas to increase the team’s efficiency, quality, and service levels.
- Performs miscellaneous clerical tasks, as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- 3 years fraud or investigative experience required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Finance or related field.
- Comprehensive knowledge of banking regulations and Suspicious Activity Reports and regulations.
- Working knowledge and experience with banking systems.
- Understanding of financial crimes and financial processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask, maintain variable workloads and follow established timeframes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Compensation Range:
24.00 - 44.50 USD HourlyThe compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan. In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
