Howmet Structures Systems (HSS) is seeking a Financial Analyst in the Cleveland area. HSS is a business unit of Howmet Aerospace, headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA.

Overview:
Working at the Cleveland Aerospace Forgings facility and reporting into the Cleveland Structures Plant Controller, this is a high visibility role with direct working relationships with Plant Senior Leadership, HR, & Operations. This role will be responsible for driving accurate financial projections, results, internal controls, and providing meaningful analysis to help the leadership team meet financial targets. Examples include but are not limited to the following:
- Reporting the P&L Statement, and tracking monthly Financial Projections to track actuals against the forecast. Ownership of daily checkbook spend tracking.
- Monitoring and analyzing labor and indirect spend levels.
- Supporting the monthly closing process, journal entries, account reconciliations, & information requests.
- Oversight of Vendor POs, AP invoices, problem resolution, to ensure accurate spend & accruals in the books.
- Supporting the completion of the annual physical inventory of metal and regular inventory of fixed assets
- Assist shared services in AR cash collections monitoring, forecast, projections, aging balances, and accuracy.
- Performing location self-assessment for compliance in the Financial and Business processes.
- Providing general accounting support for Cleveland Operations by ensuring that appropriate internal controls are in place, Corporate Policies are followed, account reconciliations are completed, and aged items are monitored until resolution.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Skills:
- Strong analytical skills, with comfort in manipulating large data sets, drawing strategic insights and communicating upwards.
- Good problem solving skills and willingness to find root cause and recommend solutions.
- Team player but ability to work independently.
- Proven discipline of reporting timeliness and accuracy.
- Willingness to work in office 5 days a week
Qualifications
- A college degree is required with an emphasis on business administration, finance, or economics.
- Minimum 1 year experience in Finance or accounting in the manufacturing industry and/ or components distribution industry.
- Technology Skills — Accounting and Finance software: Hyperion, Oracle E-Business Suite; Spreadsheet software: Advanced Microsoft Excel Ability.
- Manufacturing finance & accounting background is a plus.
