Role Description The Residential Escrow Personnel role is a full-time, on-site position based in Cleveland, OH or Sheffield Village, OH. In this role, the team member will manage residential escrow files, review purchase agreements and lender instructions, and coordinate with real estate agents, lenders, and attorneys to gather necessary documentation. Daily responsibilities include preparing settlement statements, balancing files, disbursing funds, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with state and company requirements. The role also involves communicating with clients to provide status updates, resolving issues that may arise before closing, and maintaining detailed records in the company’s systems. The Residential Escrow person hired will work closely with colleagues to support timely and smooth real estate closings while delivering professional and courteous customer service.
Qualifications
- Experience in residential escrow, title insurance, or real estate closing processes, with strong knowledge of related documents and procedures.
- Proficiency with office software like Softpro and title/escrow systems, including accurate data entry and document management.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple files, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with buyers, sellers, real estate professionals, lenders, and attorneys.
- High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in reviewing documents, preparing settlement statements, and balancing escrow accounts.
- Customer service mindset, with the ability to provide clear explanations, maintain confidentiality, and address issues calmly and professionally.
- Ability to work collaboratively on-site with team members and independently with minimal supervision.
- Prior experience in a title agency or real estate law firm is preferred; familiarity with Ohio real estate and escrow regulations is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certification in real estate, finance, or related fields is beneficial.
