The Marketing Manager for Tax and Audit supports the execution of marketing programs that promote the firm’s Tax and Audit practices and drive awareness, client engagement, and pipeline growth. Working closely with Tax and Audit leadership and the marketing team, this role helps translate business priorities into targeted campaigns, thought leadership initiatives, and go-to-market programs. The position focuses on implementing integrated marketing efforts across priority services and industries, coordinating content and campaign execution, and ensuring alignment with firmwide marketing initiatives. This role is ideal for a collaborative, execution-oriented marketer with experience in professional services or B2B environments who thrives in a fast-paced, matrixed organization and can manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and execution of go-to-market campaigns aligned to priority Tax and Audit services and industry sectors
- Coordinate integrated marketing campaigns across digital, content, events, and thought leadership channels
- Support marketing initiatives tied to regulatory changes, compliance updates, and emerging issues impacting Tax and Audit clients
- Assist with cross-functional campaigns that align Tax and Audit services with broader firm capabilities
- Manage development and distribution of Tax and Audit marketing content including insights, alerts, reports, and campaign materials
- Coordinate with internal subject matter experts, business leaders, and marketing teams to deliver campaign assets and programs
- Collaborate with Advisory and firmwide marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging and coordinated marketing efforts
- Track and report on campaign performance metrics such as engagement, lead generation, and pipeline contribution
- Maintain campaign calendars, coordinate project timelines, and ensure marketing initiatives are delivered on schedule
- Identify opportunities to improve campaign effectiveness, marketing processes, and overall program efficiency
- Support marketing integration activities related to acquisitions, including brand alignment and campaign coordination
- Other duties as assigned
Technical Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field; MBA preferred
- 7+ years of marketing experience with at least 3 years in B2B professional services, preferably in accounting, tax, audit, or consulting environments
- Familiarity with Tax and Audit services, including compliance, reporting, and regulatory landscapes, preferred
- Thorough understanding of various marketing channels and their relevance to achieving strategic business goals
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to create compelling content and presentations
- Excellent project management, critical thinking, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Highly collaborative and able to work within and through teams to achieve stated goals
- Demonstrated ability to be a trusted advisor, consistently sought out for advice by leadership and stakeholders
- Innovative and creative approach to developing work products and solving complex problems
- Commitment to actively learning and adopting best practices from across the team
- Ability to thrive in a high-growth, matrixed organization with shifting priorities
- Advanced skills with Microsoft applications: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and digital marketing tools
- Can travel as needed
The base salary range for this position is between $104,000 and $156,000. Placement within the pay range is at Grant Thornton’s discretion, and it is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, progression within the role, geographic location, and internal equity.
