GPD is currently seeking a Permit Coordinator Specialist in our Akron and Columbus, OH office locations. The Permit Coordinator Specialist is responsible for coordinating permit submittal, tracking, and issuance and acts as a liaison between GPD Group and the authorities having jurisdiction. The Permitting Coordinator/Expeditor role will navigate and drive jurisdictional requirements to expedite the approval process for projects across the country. Daily activities include researching existing requirements, completing and compiling submittal requirements, occasional site visits, collaboration with key stakeholders, and building relationships with jurisdictional representatives. To succeed in this role, the candidate needs to be highly self-organized and possess a willingness to push on AHJ review for status updates and overdue tasks, complete forms and filings in-person when required, and utilize CAD to support project submittals.
