We are in search of a Mechanical Preconstruction Leader to support our North Ridgeville operations. The Mechanical Preconstruction Leader is responsible for leading all mechanical estimating and planning activities during the preconstruction phase. This role ensures accurate budgets, constructability reviews, and value engineering for process piping, HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems to deliver cost-effective, high-quality solutions.
JOB RESPONSIBILTIES
• Develop detailed mechanical estimates and budgets for commercial and industrial projects.
• Review mechanical drawings and specifications for accuracy and constructability.
• Collaborate with design teams, owners, and trade partners to optimize project scope and cost.
• Lead value engineering efforts to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare risk assessments and provide input on procurement strategies.
• Maintain preconstruction schedules and ensure timely delivery of mechanical estimates.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with sustainable building practices and LEED certification.
• Design-build or integrated project delivery experience.
• Strong knowledge of process piping, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Accubid estimating software a plus.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical estimating or preconstruction.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.• 5+ years of experience in mechanical estimating or preconstruction.
