Position Overview:

The Maintenance Team is a critical part of ECL’s operations, which is entrusted with the task of keeping equipment/machines and plant services readily available in proper operating condition. Ensuring the minimization of machine breakdowns and down time. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but Evergreen may identify other responsibilities of the position. These responsibilities may differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.

Essential Duties:

  • Perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance on laundry processing equipment, conveyors, and other mechanical needs in the facility.
  • Troubleshoot and repair production machinery and equipment.
  • Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repair as required.
  • Communicate effectively with Engineering, Managers/Supervisors, Production Staff and Outside Vendors regarding projects and repair problems.
  • Fabricate and weld machining parts.
  • Must be able to work with dryer, angle grinder, and needle scaler.
  • Must be self-motivated, safety and quality conscious, and work efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Essential Experience/Knowledge:
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Two years minimum Industrial maintenance experience with automated equipment.
  • Must be able to work with 3 phase motor controllers, read schematic, troubleshoot PLC's, (Inventor).
  • Strong Mechanics of gears, bearings, lubrication rolls, power generated motor removal to repair or refurbish.

  • Ability to communicate with co-workers and other departments with professionalism and respect.
  • Ability to maintain a professional relationship with all coworkers, vendor representatives, supervisors, managers, customers and client representatives.
  • Ability to use all relevant electronic and communication devices.
  • Knowledge of and proficiency in all OSHA and local requirements related to all assigned work.

  • Maintains high standards for work areas and appearance.
  • Attends work and shows up for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity in light of Evergreen time and attendance policy and/or client operating hours.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including work nights, weekends and some holidays.
  • Must comply with any dress code requirements.

Physical Requirements:

  • Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses.
  • Significant walking or other means of mobility.
  • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 40 pounds.
Working Conditions (may add additional conditions specific to defined work location):
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily in a controlled, temperate environment; however, may be exposed to heat/cold.
  • Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, weekends, and extended hours as business dictates.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
  • Wears protective clothing and/or Personal Protective Equipment required by the work environment or governmental regulations.

Working Requirements:

  • Must have own tools.
  • Steel toe safety shoes are required.
  • Must be physically able to work in confined areas, work in high areas of the plant, climb ladders, and work with all climate conditions due to outside temperatures.

Rate of Pay:

$18.00 - $27.00 hourly; compensation based upon skill level
