Job Summary:
The primary focus of the Installation Technician is preparing equipment at the shop; installing equipment on site; and collaborating directly with clients regarding their project while onsite. This position includes significant ravel to job sites which can be regional or national.
Qualifications/Requirements:

- High school diploma/GED required
- Valid driver's license with clean MVR required
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Able to work well in a fast paced, team driven environment
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and balance
- General mechanical and carpentry skills
- Knowledge and skills of installation, maintenance and repair of a/v systems and equipment
- Dante certification desired
- OSHA 10 certification desired
- Other audio/video certifications are a plus
- Capable of lifting and carrying a minimum of fifty pounds without assistance
- Capable of working from heights- ladders, cat walks, scaffolding, personnel lifts, etc
- Capable of driving larger vehicles such as cargo vans
Experience:
- 2-4 years experience in professional audio or related field
- Experience terminating a/v connectors to include Cat6, NL4, BNC, XLR etc
- Experience terminating multi-pin connectors such as LK and Ca-Com a plus
- Experience utilizing industry test equipment such as volt/ohm meters, audio/video/network cable verifiers, etc
- Experience operating personnel lifts and forklifts
- Experience with large format line array speaker systems desired
- Experience working with and directing union stagehands a plus
- Touring experience a plus
Responsibilities and Duties
- Install, maintain, modify and repair audio and video systems
- Inspect and test components of a/v systems to include mixing consoles (digital and analog), amplifiers, speakers, microphones, video projectors, manual and electric video screens, LED video walls, control systems, and associated equipment
- Install, terminate and test all associated wiring including networking, speaker, microphone, control, video, etc
- Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturers manuals to complete assigned projects
- Complete work orders, record number of hours worked per job, maintain equipment and hardware inventory in vehicles and shops, and record materials utilized on job sites
- Remain in compliance with any national or local codes regarding construction techniques, electrical (low voltage) installation, rigging requirements, safety, etc
- Perform service calls for existing clients
- Assist with entertainment division shop duties as assigned
- All other duties as assigned
