Eaton’s Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Manager - Corporate Accounting & Reporting.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $130000 - $190000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:

This position reviews and performs professional accounting work involving reporting and analysis of global financial results to provide senior management with timely and accurate financial information that aids in decision-making. This includes analyzing and correcting financial data as submitted by all operations worldwide through the use of various accounting systems.
Job Responsibilities:
• Manage and develop a team through coaching, feedback, exposure and stretch assignments.
• Review and approve reporting and financial statements prepared for senior management, board of directors, and external SEC filings.
• Analyze, and review consolidated financial results delivered to Eaton senior management and Board of Directors, primarily cash flows, including preparation of disclosures for external SEC filings related to the statement of cash flows and the balance sheet, including shareholders’ equity.
• Manage the accounting, reporting and analyzing for the balance sheet, including shareholders’ equity, foreign currency translation, and investment in subsidiaries.
• Manage the cash flow forecast inputs for corporate items, including equity compensation and tax payments.
• Provide in-depth, accurate, and timely analysis of global financial results to identify key business drivers and deliver actionable recommendations to senior management.
• Support the annual cash flow profit plan and provide meaningful analysis of variances of corporate items to senior management.
• Partner with various corporate and operational cross-functional teams to supply or explain data, advise on complex accounting transactions, and drive process improvements.
• Lead special projects and process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency across the finance organization, including leveraging financial systems to automate reporting processes and improve data integrity and accessibility.
• Assist with audit requests from internal and external auditors, including the related party disclosure analysis.
• Review corporate ledger accounting and prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Evaluate complex accounting matters in accordance with US GAAP.
• Ensure effectiveness of controls and compliance with company policies
• As part of enhancing efficiency across the finance organization, ensure that all assigned work activities are executed in the appropriate geographic location. When a change in work location is required, lead the coordination and execution of the transition process, including collaborating with HR partners, functional managers, and relevant stakeholders to update requisitions, align organizational structures, and ensure continuity of operations. Maintain accountability for communicating changes and mitigating disruption.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.
• Minimum 7 years accounting/finance experience.
• Minimum 2 years as a manager of people.
• Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates currently located within a 50 mile radius of Beachwood, OH will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.

• 10% travel required
