The Global Vice President Manufacturing Strategy – Data Centers, reporting to the President of Data Centers, leads global manufacturing principles for Eaton's data center portfolio. This role will work with operations teams and regional factories to implement strategies for rapid capacity deployment, standardized design-for-manufacturability, and flexible planning. Critical responsibilities include driving global replication for high-quality solutions, overseeing manufacturing strategies, insourcing/outsourcing, and aligning with industry standards. Early collaboration with engineering will be critical to ensure manufacturability and serviceability in designs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Define and lead the global manufacturing program roadmap for data center products in hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, and edge segments.
  • Prioritize and govern programs based on time to market, capacity expansion, quality, cost, and risk.
  • Drive “design once, deploy many” manufacturing models, including for ETO/CTO assemblies.
  • Work to standardize product to process architectures, factory acceptance testing (FAT), and configuration and option management frameworks.
  • Balance global standard platforms with controlled regional and customer customization.
  • Reduce customer deployment risk by improving factory quality, documentation, and commissioning readiness.
  • Enable repeatable manufacturing models that support accelerated data center build schedules.
  • Lead global capacity planning and ramp strategies, in partnership with the regional teams.
  • Improve throughput, flexibility, and mixed‑model production to support volatile, project‑driven demand.
  • Establish global manufacturing engineering standards.
  • Ensure mission‑critical quality aligned with uptime, safety, and compliance expectations of data center customers.
  • Partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Digital/IT, Services, and Segment Leadership to deliver end‑to‑end outcomes.
  • Enable supplier and partner readiness for prefabricated and modular production models.
  • Support strategic collaborations that require synchronized manufacturing and deployment (e.g., integrated power and modular construction).

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA strongly preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Operational Excellence within a global industrial organization of comparable scale and complexity.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing assembly strategies, including effective program replication, standardization, and scalable manufacturing solutions.
  • Proven ability to elevate operational performance across a multibillion‑dollar global manufacturing network, delivering measurable improvements in efficiency, quality, and cost.
  • Deep expertise in modern manufacturing technologies, including advanced assembly and fabrication methods, engineering processes, materials management, inventory control, distribution/logistics, procurement, and quality systems.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen
  • Understanding of capital investments with experience in managing large projects
  • Proven track record in driving large-scale organizational change
  • Exceptional leadership capability, with a history of building high‑performing teams, advancing organizational capability, and delivering sustained operational improvements.
  • Ability to travel 50%+

The expected annual salary range for this role is $227,0000-$333,000. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
