Long-Term Substitute Teacher – Middle School English St. Anthony of Padua School – Parma, OH St. Anthony of Padua School is seeking a long-term substitute teacher for Middle School English (Grades 6–8). This position begins Monday, November 17, 2025, and concludes Friday, January 30, 2026, for a total of 39 paid working days. Position Details: - Start Date: November 17, 2025 - End Date: January 30, 2026 - Total Paid Working Days: 39 - Compensation: Starting at $110 per day, based on experience - School Hours: 7:15 AM – 3:00 PM - Schedule: Monday through Friday
Responsibilities Include: - Delivering engaging English Language Arts instruction aligned with grade-level standards - Creating and implementing lesson plans - Maintaining accurate grades and gradebook records - Communicating effectively with students, parents, and staff - Participating in staff meetings and collaborating with team members - Managing the classroom environment and maintaining positive student behavior
Qualifications: - Valid teaching license or substitute teaching certificate - Current BCI & FBI background checks, has or willing to obtain VIRTUS Training Certificate - Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills If you are passionate about fostering student growth and enjoy working in a supportive Catholic school environment, we encourage you to apply.
