SUMMARY Provides instruction of courses in Firefighter I II certification, advanced fire and EMS programs including American Heart Association classes, according to state of Ohio and AHA approved curriculum. The instructor must be able to coordinate and evaluate student performance through various evaluation processes. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provides appropriate feedback to students Provides a learning environment appropriate for enhancing academic progress Provides instructional methodologies consistent with student needs within the program guidelines Provides well-defined goals for student achievements Motivates and encourage optimum achievement in students Maintains up-to-date academic and attendance records in compliance with school and regulatory organization policies and guidelines Delivers instruction materials professionally and consistently within program curricular guidelines Assists in updating, revising, and implementing curricular objectives and content Fosters effective communication between students, staff, and administration Collects and analyzes program and participant data to ensure programs meet industry needs Performs other duties as assigned
