Accounting Manager

Corrigan Krause is assisting one of their clients in the search for an on-site Accounting Manager located in Greater Cleveland, Ohio. Our client specializes in commercial and industrial construction services. As the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the company's accounting and administrative areas, while also being an integral part in improving efficiencies and automating existing processes. In this role the growth potential is significant, with the ability to advance from a manager role into future controller-level responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Process weekly payroll every Monday in accordance with required timelines and established procedures.
- Manage accounts payable daily, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Perform job costing, project budgeting, cost and cash management, and related administrative tasks.
- Execute standard monthly close procedures.
- Prepare and maintain supporting documentation and reconciliations.
- Utilize Foundation Software (training provided; platform is easy to learn).
- Support periodic third-party financial reviews and assist with occasional WIP adjustments.
- Maintain accurate records of cash activity and banking documentation
- Handle accounting tasks for several small business units under the company umbrella.
- Follow established processes as most foundational work is already in place
- 10 years of accounting experience, preferably in a task-heavy or administrative role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent time management and ability to maintain focus in a structured environment.
- Comfortable working independently with clear procedures.
- Experience with Foundation Software is a plus but not required.
- Proficiency with general accounting systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to take and pass a background check
