Champion Personnel is now hiring General Labor / Line Attendants for Great Lakes Cheese, a leading wholesale cheese distribution company experiencing strong growth!
Position Overview
As a Bulk Cheese Handler / Line Attendant, you will play a key role in food production and packaging operations. This is a fast-paced manufacturing environment where safety, quality, and teamwork are top priorities.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of production areas and equipment
- Prepare, handle, label, and package cheese products
- Perform quality checks according to customer specifications
- Weigh, measure, and palletize finished product
- Keep production lines stocked and running efficiently
- Operate equipment safely and follow GMP guidelines
- Complete accurate production records and basic data entry
- Use handheld scanners and pallet trucks
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding orders, safety, and quality
- Rotate between positions as needed
Management may assign additional duties as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs frequently
- Comfortable working in cool temperatures (50–60°F)
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- Basic computer/data entry skills helpful
- Must comply with GMP and food safety standards
- Ability to read and understand production reports
- Must pass background check (no felonies within 7 years) and drug screen
Dress Code & PPE
PPE Provided: Hair nets, earplugs, safety glasses
Employee Must Provide: Closed-toe, slip-resistant shoes

Do NOT Wear:
- Hooded sweatshirts or jackets
- Jewelry of any kind (rings, watches, necklaces, earrings, etc.)
- Pants with holes or tears
Available Shifts
Multiple shift options available:
1st Shift
- M–F 6am–2pm
- M–F 7am–3pm
2nd Shift
- M–F 2pm–10pm
- M–F 3pm–11pm
3rd Shift
- Sun–Thurs 11pm–7am
- M–F 10pm–6am
12-Hour Rotating Shifts
- A & B Shift: 6am–6pm
- C & D Shift: 6pm–6am
Includes 30-minute unpaid lunch + two 10-minute breaks.
