Job Description

CNC Machinist / Programmer
Location: Akron, OH
Shift: 1st Shift – Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (½ hour lunch). Overtime may be required during the week or on Saturdays.

Job Responsibilities
  • Set up, program, and operate CNC mills and routers
  • Read and interpret CAD files, blueprints, sketches, and specifications
  • Program 3D contour milling in WorkNC and/or Hypermill
  • Operate HAAS & Okuma mills, Quintax and Onsrud routers
  • Machine molds, fixtures, and models
  • Work with a variety of materials including wood, aluminum, steel, and urethane tooling board
  • Select proper tools, feeds, and speeds for each job
  • Inspect machined components for dimensional accuracy
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3–5 years of CNC machining or programming experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
  • Ability to read and use measurement equipment
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Good problem-solving ability and willingness to follow instructions
  • Basic machine shop math skills
  • Able to stand for long periods during production runs
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
