Minimum Qualifications

  • Working towards a Bachelor's degree
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, research and project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
  • Ability to multi-task, think independently and problem solve in a results driven team oriented environment
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong computer and technical skills including, Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, intranet and audit software

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on a variety of matters, including contract, corporate, securities, and employment law
  • Provide support in responding to subpoenas, discovery requests, and other legal process, including document collection, review, and production
  • Assist in the preparation of legal memoranda, reports, and presentations for internal stakeholders and senior management
  • Contribute to the development, review, and enhancement of internal policies, procedures, and training materials related to ethics, anti-corruption, and regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to support legal and compliance initiatives
  • Participate in the company’s intern program, including professional development and networking opportunities
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited U.S. law school, with completion of first year (1L) prior to the start of the internship
  • Strong academic credentials, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated analytical, research, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Interest in the financial services, benefits, or insurance industry
  • Must be at least 16 years of age (or possess a valid work permit, if required)
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • No prior professional experience required
