Best Buy Painting is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, painter to join our crew. We are a family-owned residential painting company based on the eastside of Cleveland. We respect our employees and the work they do, so we are committed to providing the right tools for the right job and promoting a safe work environment.Responsibilities include:- On-time arrival at the office or jobsite- Professional, courteous client interactions- Job site preparation, i.e moving items when necessary, protecting furniture and other items and covering floors with drop cloths for interior jobs- Power/hand-washing when necessary for exterior jobs- Preparing surfaces for painting, including repairing holes and cracks, sealing stains, and sanding surfaces for interior jobs or removing loose paint, scuff sanding areas, and caulking gaps to prevent water intrusion for exterior jobs.- Thorough, effective painting of surfaces, including the use of all surface-painting best practices and the use of custom finishes when applicable- Maintaining a neat, clean work setting both daily and at the completion of the job including moving all items back to desired locations and sweeping/vacuuming floors and carpets for interior jobs, removing paint chips or other debris for exterior jobs, and removing all job materials.- Review/inspect work to ensure the job is completed at the highest quality before reviewing the project with the customer.- Securely store equipment and supplies- Follow all safety policies and procedures- Complete all necessary documentation in compliance with regulations and standards.- Maintains positive relationships with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other team members.- Represent Best Buy Painting well in all interactions with others- Participate in any and all safety meetings, educational opportunities, etc. as requested/required.Qualifications and requirements:- Strong work ethic and personal accountability- Good time management skills- 2-5 years of painting experience with general knowledge of painting tools, techniques and equipment- Exceptional customer service skills- Ability to multitask and easily switch between tasks- Focus on quality and detail-oriented- Unrestricted driver’s license and clean driving record- Physical ability to perform all aspects of this job (repetitive movements, standing, lifting, climbing, working at heights of greater than 10 feet, etc.)- General labor/ construction capabilities/ background a plus- Carpentry skills a plusWe are looking for a positive, customer service conscious candidate.
