Finance Manager - Color, Additives & Inks (CAI)

The Finance Manager, Color Additives & Inks (CAI) is a critical role in the business FP&A function. This broad-ranging position is responsible for total segment financial planning & analysis for the CAI reporting segment, a global business responsible for $2 billion in annual revenues.
The position directly supports the CAI Global Finance Director and CAI Segment President, providing strategic partnership and objective guidance to leadership. It leads cross-functional efforts to guide monthly and quarterly reporting and forecasting processes and assists with driving strategic finance initiatives to enable analytics and actionable insights with a focus on driving value that influences key business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the CAI Global Finance Director as an effective cross-functional leader to enable a shared understanding of results with a focus on key insights and underlying trends to aid in executive leadership decision making
- Assists with organizing a team of ~20 finance professionals across several business unit teams within CAI towards meeting monthly, quarterly and annual deadlines related to financial reporting and planning processes
- Responsible for consolidating CAI Monthly Reporting Packages, Forecasts, Annual Operating Plan, and Long-Term Strategic Plans to achieve company strategic and financial goals
- Supports the compilation of materials used in quarterly earnings calls as well as business review presentations provided to the C-Suite and Board of Directors
- Conducts complex analysis, synthesizes and summarizes implications to leadership using analytics and business understanding
- Clearly communicates results, issues, trends and all other relevant financial issues to Management, including the segment President of CAI.
- Develops, introduces and implements financial tools that drive key financial metrics and act as a global standard for each regional business unit
- Other ad-hoc duties as assigned in the areas of evaluating product profitability, sales trends across customers and end markets, drivers of operational performance, and enabling the roll-out of standardized financial processes and procedures across CAI’s various business units.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field

Minimum 5 years’ experience required in the following areas:
Financial planning & analysis
Financial reporting
Financial principles
Financial systems

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Partners with the Finance Director to provide leadership to ensure the profitability of business activities with Pricing, Purchasing, Credit and other key functional areas to create accurate and timely reporting of business results. This includes leading the preparation of monthly/quarterly reporting and business review packages for senior business leaders.
- Clearly communicates results, issues, trends and all other relevant financial issues to Management, including Executive staff.
- Guides the general manager and business team leaders in decision making and actions, on a day-to-day basis as well as on a forecasting/planning basis.
- Completes annual and longer-range plans for the business.
- Develops, introduces and implements financial tools that drive key business metrics (margin management, freight costs, contract terms, inventory management, etc.).
- Acts as a liaison between business team and Corporate Finance functions, including leading implementation of new or revised reporting requirements.
- Special projects as assigned.
Scope
This position interacts regularly with the Business Unit Executive Management team.
Other
Typically reports to Director, Finance or equivalent. This position may supervise 1 to 2 Finance Analysts.
