The Assistant Site Merchant ultimately supports their product category in achieving all aspects of assigned financial targets with a specific focus on the Ecomm business.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Core Job Function:

  • Responsible for launching and maintaining product on the website
  • Ensure the product is merchandised accurately and in relation to trend (sales, inventory, newness, clearance, etc)
  • Merchandise product options for each item (Fabrics, Finish, Size, etc.)
  • Analyze and report out on product performance on the web, identifying opportunities (differences between web v stores, product white space/gaps)
  • Collaborate with Buying, Product Development, Ecomm, and Marketing
  • Own category inboxes to provide Stores and Interior Design with accurate product details
  • Clear knowledge of target customer and competitive market, making recommendations to improve the site experience for the customer
  • Other duties may be determined by management to perform the necessary functions of the position, on an as-needed basis.

        Requirements:

        • 0-2 years of Site Merchandising or Buying/Merchant experience
        • College Degree (2 or 4 Years) in Business, Merchandising, or Ecomm
        • Ability to think strategically with strong decision-making skills
        • Passion for product
        • High attention to detail
        • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and the ability to learn and retain new computer systems in a timely manner
        • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
