American Abatement was incorporated in December of 1985. We are a family business, started by our father, Robert Emmet Donelon, and his sons John, Terry and Tim. We realized early on that the best way to differentiate our company was by providing the best service along with quality workmanship. This approach helped us secure maintenance contracts with institutions like Playhouse Square, The Cleveland Museum of Art, Case Western Reserve University, Cuyahoga County Public Works, and The Catholic Diocese of Cleveland, just to name a few. Starting out in a small storefront on Lorain Avenue, American Abatement quickly grew into our office and warehouse on Maywood, prior to settling into our shop on Chatfield, in the West Park neighborhood of Cleveland, for nearly 10 years. In 2024 we renovated and moved in to our new headquarters in Grafton, Ohio.
