Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Home Health
2,500 Sign on Bonus
Schedule: Mon-Fri-8:15 am-5 PM
Territory: Akron, Lakemore, Deerfield, Firestone Park, Kenmore & surrounding areas

The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) provides skilled occupational therapy services in patients' homes under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist. The OTA helps patients improve daily living skills, increase independence, and enhance overall function while following the established plan of care. The OTA educates patients and caregivers, documents care accurately, and complies with all state, federal, and company regulations.

Qualifications
- Current Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) license in the state of employment
- Minimum one year of acute care OTA experience required
- Home health experience preferred
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Knowledge of occupational therapy best practices
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled occupational therapy services in patients' homes following the Occupational Therapist's plan of care
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Help patients improve daily living skills, mobility, and independence through therapeutic activities
- Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, safety, equipment use, and home exercises
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, schedulers, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Participate in case conferences, trainings, and agency meetings
- Maintain compliance with Medicare, state, and company guidelines
Essential Functions
- Travel to patient homes for scheduled visits
- Complete required documentation within company deadlines
- Follow the established plan of care within the OTA scope of practice
- Maintain dependable attendance and scheduling
Physical Requirements
- Frequent driving and travel between patient homes
- Lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
- Walk, stand, bend, sit, reach, and use computer devices throughout the workday
- Ability to communicate effectively in person and by phone
- Strong vision, hearing, and manual dexterity required
