SUMMARY
Responsible for the overall function and set-up of CNC machine(s) running production. Provides open communication regarding production and routing any malfunctions to the appropriate person. Helps in establishing best practices to ensure the highest quality and output of the machine.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains organization cleanliness, and housekeeping (5S) within the work area at the highest degree possible, reporting any maintenance issues.
- Perform set-ups on CNC lathes and/or mills.
- Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications using various measuring tools such as: CMMs, calipers, micrometers, comparators, and vision systems.
- Utilizes work orders, blueprints (GD&T), sketches, written and verbal instructions to complete required tasks.
- Ensures the tools with the machine match those on the tool list.
- Loads and unloads parts/operates multiple machines when possible.
- Confers with team members to resolve basic machining problems.
- Works with team to build and sustain a safe and friendly working environment.
- Actively engages in leading a culture of continuous improvement.
- Stays on task and ensures current day scheduled work is completed on time.
- Drives quality compliance using good manufacturing and document practices and workmanship standards.
- Performs duties in compliance with applicable state regulations as well as standards including, but not limited to, AS9100 and ITAR.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
- Record and enter into Infor Visual daily production & scrap counts.
