Akkodis is seeking a Solution Delivery Manager with strong AWS skills along with experience within the planning, development, management, and release of retail or inventory related systems. Qualified candidates will have 10+ years in IT Solution Delivery, Architecture, and/or Product Management which includes hands-on technical skills in AWS and system development. This is a hybrid role, with 9 days onsite a month in the Akron area.
Salary Range: $65-80 per hour; salary negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors

Solution Delivery Manager job responsibilities include:
Strategy and Planning
- Recommend information technology strategies for business growth, system performance, security, and other system enhancements by maximizing functionality of existing technologies and providing recommendations for upgrades as needed.
- Proactively research ways to improve efficiency, thus increasing productivity and ease of use for internal customers.
- Understand the business strategy and landscape and provide recommendations for future technology solutions and growth.
- Develop and manage roadmap for supported systems.
Implementation
- Serve as point of escalation in one or more of managed technologies.
- Maintain organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing technologies.
- Complete projects by coordinating resources and timelines with various departments.
- Manage support activities to ensure that service level agreements are met or exceeded.
- Ensure that the health and efficiency of technical assets are maintained and continually improved.
- Identify, evaluate, and collaborate with stakeholders regarding opportunities for improvement and provide constructive suggestions for change.
- Identify and alert management of problems that will impact progress on projects and other activities.
Leadership/Management
- Manage and lead a high performing team and deliver performance feedback, coaching and mentoring.
- Encourage teamwork at all levels and cross-functionally within our team and outside teams
- Maintain and develop staff by orienting, and training employees; develop personal growth opportunities.
- Grow and maintain relationships with business leaders and customers at all levels in the organization.
- Grow and maintain relationship with peers and IT teams
- Communicate and escalate upwards to IT Leadership in a timely manner, disseminate information to appropriate levels
- Provide input to and create communication decks for Business and IT management
- Maintain quality of service by establishing and enforcing team standards.
- Actively develop and maintain healthy relationships with all related vendors.
Technical Management and Product Project Management
- Technical problem and issue resolution, ensure Jira tickets are created and assigned
- Monitor progress with problem and issue resolution, Close out incidents with documented resolution, Track and implement changes that are required to prevent future occurrences.
- Functional enhancements and issues: provide input to Functional team to assist with resolving functional issues and/or defining functional enhancements.
- Requirements gathering: Work with Functional Solution Delivery Manager or Business Analyst during requirements gathering to ensure technical considerations are discussed.
- Document Technical requirements/design based on business requirements and functional design.
- Document and execute technical test cases.
- Initiate and maintain project plans for IT-initiated projects.
- Schedule and lead project status/standup meetings.
- Manage technical team task assignments, due dates, priorities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10+ IT Solution Delivery, Architecture, Development, and/or Product Management and 2+ years in a leadership role
- Experience working with Inventory, Supply Chain, or Retail/Merchandising Systems such as RMS, OMS, WMS, or ERP
- Hands-on Technical Skills in AWS services including Lambda, EC2, S3, or RDS, and previous programming experience in C# or Java or related development background
- Knowledge in microservice architecture, release management, and product ownership
