Akkodis is recruiting for a Requirements Management Engineer for an aerospace manufacturer in the Twinsburg, OH area. This is a firect hire position with a pay range of $83K annually to $93K annually depending on education, experience and location.

The Requirements Management Engineer I is responsible for capturing, analyzing, and maintaining system and component-level requirements throughout the product lifecycle for aerospace electrical systems. This role ensures compliance with customer specifications, regulatory standards, and Safran development processes, supporting design integrity and traceability from concept through certification.


Key Responsibilities

  • Requirements Capture & Analysis

    • Collect and document requirements from customers, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders.

    • Translate high-level system requirements into detailed component-level specifications.

  • Requirements Management

    • Maintain requirements in a formal database (e.g., IBM DOORS or similar tools).

    • Ensure bidirectional traceability between requirements, design, and verification artifacts.

  • Compliance & Standards

    • Verify alignment with FAA/EASA regulations and Safran engineering standards.

    • Support certification-driven development processes.

  • Collaboration

    • Work closely with systems, electrical, software, and mechanical engineering teams.

    • Participate in design reviews and provide requirements compliance status.

  • Change Control

    • Manage requirement changes through established configuration management processes.

  • Testing & Validation

    • Support development of test plans and procedures to validate requirements.

    • Review test results for compliance and update requirement status.

  • Continuous Improvement

    • Contribute to process improvements in requirements management and systems engineering.


Qualifications

  • Education:
    Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.

  • Experience:

    • 0–2 years (entry-level) or internship experience in aerospace or systems engineering.

    • Familiarity with requirements management tools (DOORS, Polarion, Jama).

  • Skills:

    • Understanding of systems engineering principles and V-model development.

    • Strong analytical and documentation skills.

    • Knowledge of regulatory compliance (FAA, EASA) preferred.

  • Preferred:
    Exposure to aerospace electrical systems or avionics.


Travel:

Occasional domestic and international travel (<10%).



Pay Details: $83,000.00 to $93,000.00 per year
