AIY Properties is a dynamic private owner and manager of residential apartment communities throughout Northeast Ohio. We have an immediate opening for an experienced Part-Time Leasing Administrative Assistant for our apartment communities in Canton and Massillon. This position will also assist with leasing apartments.

Work Schedule Preferred: Monday to Friday: 11 am to 3 pm OR 12 pm to 4 pm

The Part-Time Administrative Assistant primary role is to assist the leasing agents and property manager in renting apartment units to prospective residents.

Part-Time Administrative Assistant Specific Duties:

  • Track all telephone and office traffic to assist in market analysis.
  • Conduct credit checks and income verification while maintaining complete confidentiality.
  • Completes all paperwork and data entry associated with leasing activities.
  • Assists in completing the lease and receives initial rent and deposit payments.
  • Communicate with new residents to assure the move-in process is implemented smoothly.
  • Prepares and maintains a file for each resident.
  • Takes resident calls for service or other needs and forwards to the appropriate staff members; writes work orders for service; promotes good resident relations through courteous and timely response to resident needs and concerns.
  • Answers outside phone calls and greets visitors.
  • Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned that may include the following: Provide assistance to the collections department and facilitate collection calls, delivering letters, taking maintenance requests, answering phones and any tasks the Property Manager may need support with.

Part-Time Administrative Assistant Qualifications:

  • Minimum two years experience in a busy office environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills; leasing experience is a plus.
  • Good communicate skills with residents and with co-workers both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent computer skills in MS Word and Excel and ability to learn specialized software.
  • Regular and punctual attendance is an essential function of this position.
