The Sewer and Drain Technician will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing and mapping sewer and drainage systems. This role includes diagnosing issues, providing effective solutions, and ensuring systems are functioning properly and efficiently.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Inspection and Diagnosis:
  • Conduct thorough inspections of sewer and drain systems to identify issues and potential problems.
  • Use specialized equipment (cameras, locators, etc.) to diagnose blockages, leaks, and other issues within the drainage systems.
  • Use specialized equipment (snakes, sewer jets, etc.) to clean and clear blockages in drainage systems.
  • Provide detailed reports on findings and recommended solutions to internal staff and customers.
  1. Maintenance and Repair:
  • Perform routine maintenance on sewer and drain systems to prevent issues and extend system life.
  • Clear blockages, repair leaks, and replace damaged components.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Perform necessary repairs to the drain equipment as required
  1. Duties:
  • Perform mapping and drains cleaning services for residential, commercial and lite industrial clients according to specifications and best practices.
  • Work with other team members to ensure services are completed efficiently and correctly.
  • Test systems to ensure they are functioning properly after installation.
  1. Customer Service:
  • Communicate effectively with clients to explain issues, solutions, and preventative measures.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Educate clients on proper maintenance and care of their drainage systems.
  • Offer preventative maintenance options to customers
  1. Health and Safety:
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to protect yourself and others on the job site.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure safe operation of tools and equipment.
  1. Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including inspections, repairs, and installations in online customer record software
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation for clients and company records.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Collect payments from customers at time of service
  1. Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  • Suggest improvements to processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
QUALIFICATIONS ON REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in plumbing or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Proven experience in sewer and drain system maintenance, repair, and installation.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with tools and equipment used in sewer and drain work.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to speak Spanish is not required, but preferred.
  • A Background Check will be required for employment

Pay Range: $25 - $30 per hour
